Troubleshooting
My video saved with no sound. Why?
By Con, founder of Music Wide Selfie · Updated 22 October 2026
Short answerUsually another app or a Bluetooth device took the microphone, the mic was blocked, or the recording used a mic that wasn't connected. Record a 5-second test and play it back before an important take.
- Check which microphone is in use (Bluetooth earbuds can take over).
- Close apps that might be using the mic.
- Check nothing covers the mic holes.
- Do a quick test take and listen back.
Music Wide Selfie's Take Check is designed to warn you if a saved video has no sound, and Audio Status shows which microphone is recording.
